I came across this blog post on my favorite wedding site Bridal Tweet.  It’s worth taking a moment to read…it made me look at things a little differently.

We had a great time yesterday working with Stacy and Jeff.  The wedding was held at a beautiful location, Severance Hall in Cleveland.  A special thanks to Erin to coordinated everything for the ceremony.  We walked across the street to Wade Park Lagoon (at the Art Museum) for the park photos.  Then on to the Springvale Ballroom in North Olmsted for the reception.  A BIG “thank you” to Katie at Springvale who made our evening run so smoothly!  There are some other reception sites who should take lessons from her…she was fantastic!  And the funny part is that she was just filling in for the regular coordinator/manager that night.  Finally, as always…it was working with Jay R and Lee from Selective Sound Entertainment.  Jay R had double duty that day, he also preformed the wedding ceremony.  He’s a man of many talents :-)

I’ll have some photos posted soon…stay tuned!

The end of the week

August 7, 2009 | Category: General | Leave a Comment

Well…another week has gone by and I don’t feel like I’ve gotten enough done.  There are so many things are really want to do and then, like always, there’s the things I have to do.   One good thing about all of this, there’s always next week.

As I promised, here are a few of my favorites from our Muldoon’s Family and Friends Photo Party.  We have always done family and children’s portraits for former (wedding) clients, but it’s not something that we really promote.  This was such a great experience that I think we’ll be doing more of these “by invitation” Photo Parties.

I had to post a quick comment about our Photo Party yesterday.  Thanks to all the great families (expecially the kids) who made this “first annual” event a great sucess.  I’ll post some photos for each of the sessions as soon as possible.  There were sooooooo many great photos that it’s going to be hard to pick just a few favorites.

This was a little experiement to see if we’d like to expand our photograph (beyond weddings) to include kids and family portraits.  Greg and I came up with a pretty good system, I took all the photos and he took care of the viewing sessions and orders.  A special thanks goes out to Vici Lai (our favorite server at Muldoon’s for greeting everyone and helping to organize the event.

Stay tuned for the photos and dates for the next event!

The Cleveland Botanical Gardens is a magical location for a wedding.  We were so happy that Katie and Jason chose this beautiful location.  My advise when working at the Botanical Gardens, leave yourself plenty of time.  There are so many spectauclar areas and gardens, you could spend an entire day exploring everything.  If you haven’t booked the Garden for your ceremony or reception, reserve some time for your park photographs.arroyo-6x12-for-web
